BedJet Not CoolingUpdated 2 months ago

If your BedJet isn’t providing the cooling you expect—or the “Actual” temperature doesn’t seem to match what you selected—use this guide to restore peak performance.

How BedJet cools

  • BedJet uses convective/evaporative cooling: it moves fresh room air through your bedding to carry away body heat and moisture.

  • It is not an air conditioner and cannot cool below the bedroom’s ambient air temperature.

  • Best results are in rooms at or below about 78 °F (26 °C). In hotter rooms (80s °F / ~27–30 °C), cooling impact is limited—lower the room temperature with AC or ventilation for stronger results.

  • A small difference between your thermostat and BedJet’s “Actual” reading (about 1–3 °F / 0.5–2 °C) is normal due to placement and airflow.

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Clear any airflow blockages

  • Air hose: Check for obstructions (e.g., a sock or blanket corner) and confirm the hose isn’t sharply kinked.

  • Air filter: Remove and clean the filter—even light dust can reduce airflow and cooling.

  • Nozzle & bedding: Make sure sheets/comforter (or Cloud Sheet) aren’t bunching at the nozzle. Pull bedding snug so air can circulate across the bed.

  • Tip for even cooling: The Cloud Sheet significantly improves cooling distribution and reduces “cold feet / warm torso” effects.

Step 2: Verify the room/ambient temperature

  • Thermostat vs. true ambient: Your wall thermostat may not reflect the actual air at bed level. If you can, cross-check with another thermometer near the BedJet intake.

  • Check the BedJet “Actual” reading on the remote or app.

  • Compare readings: Up to ~1–3 °F (0.5–2 °C) difference is normal based on device location and airflow path.

Step 3: Optimize the environment & setup

  • Hot rooms (≥ 80 °F / ~27 °C): Lower the room temp first for stronger cooling results.

  • Intake clearance: Ensure the BedJet has unobstructed intake and exhaust; avoid pushing it into heavy carpeting or fabric that blocks vents.

  • Nozzle placement: Try different locations (center foot, side inlet on Cloud Sheet) to balance airflow across your body, not just your feet.
