You can use BedJet 3 right out of the box with the physical Smart Remote—Wi-Fi is not required for daily use. Wi-Fi is only needed if you want to receive firmware updates.

NOTE: All new BedJet units ship with the latest firmware already installed, so no immediate update is required. If you’re updating an older BedJet—or a new update becomes available—you can install it easily via the BedJet Smart Remote App.

Connect to Wi-Fi (for updates)

  1. Install the app: Search “BedJet 3” in the Apple App Store or Google Play and install the BedJet Smart Remote app.

  2. Prepare: Confirm your phone/tablet is on your home Wi-Fi and your BedJet 3 is powered on.

  3. Join 2.4 GHz: BedJet connects to 2.4 GHz networks (not 5 GHz).

  4. Follow prompts: Open the app and follow on-screen steps to connect. You’ll see a confirmation when done.

Check for & Install Firmware Updates (in the app)

  1. Power on your BedJet.

  2. Open the BedJet Smart Remote app.

  3. Tap the menu (≡) in the top-right.

  4. Select Update Firmware.

  5. What you’ll see:

    • If you’re up to date, the app will say no update needed.

    • If an update is available, the app will start the process.

    • During the update, the BedJet base unit’s LED light ring will flash. The unit will reboot when complete.

  1. Press Menu

  2. BedJet Setup

  3. Firmware Update
     A progress bar will display; the unit reboots when finished.

Check your firmware version

  • From the app: Open app → menu (≡) → versions for BedJet base, remote, and app appear at the bottom.

  • From the remote: Menu → Remote Setup → FIRM. Version (shows versions for the Remote and BedJet).

Current versions (reference only; yours may differ):

  • BedJet 3 (Main): V1.20 (140)

  • BedJet 3 Mini (Main): V1.20 (407)

  • Remote: V1.20 (265)

Disable Wi-Fi (also disables Bluetooth/app)

Prefer radios off? Go Menu → BedJet Setup → Advanced → Disable Wi-Fi. Choose Yes to disable (this also turns off Bluetooth and the smartphone app). Select No to re-enable later.
