How BedJet Heating WorksUpdated 2 months ago
BedJet heating delivers fast, cozy warmth by moving gently heated air under your covers. Unlike electric blankets or heated mattress pads, BedJet warms your bedding, not your mattress, so you can pre-heat before bedtime, enjoy short bursts of comfort, or maintain a steady temperature throughout the night.
Key Heating Principles
Convective Warmth
The system circulates warmed room air into your bedding. This warms the sheets and comforter around you, creating that “just-out-of-the-dryer” feeling in minutes.
Customizable Intensity
You control both the heat level and fan speed. Use short bursts for immediate coziness or lower continuous settings for gentle, all-night warmth.
Even Distribution
Where you position the nozzle and whether you use a Cloud Sheet impacts how evenly warmth spreads across your body.
Turbo Heat for Fast Pre-Warm
What it does: Maximum heat (109°F / 43°C) + full fan power to raise bedding temperature by up to 30°F (≈17°C) in about 5 minutes.
Auto-shutoff: Defaults to 10 minutes (adjustable down to 1 minute).
Limit: Turbo can run up to 10 minutes in any 30-minute window. If restarted too soon, the unit beeps and shifts back to regular Heat mode.
Tips:
Don’t repeatedly restart Turbo while you’re in bed.
Keep body parts clear of the nozzle during Turbo.
Ensure sheets and blankets don’t block the nozzle or air intake.
Your First-Night Warmup
Pre-heat the bed with Turbo for 3–10 minutes.
Switch to regular Heat at a lower temperature and comfortable fan speed once you’re in bed.
If warmth feels concentrated at your feet, move the nozzle toward your torso or use a Cloud Sheet for more even distribution.
Everyday Comfort Boosts
After a shower: Use a short Turbo burst for a quick, full-body warm-dry effect.
Find your sweet spot: Start at lower temps and gradually increase; moderate heat with a gentle fan often feels best for overnight sleep.
Prevent dryness: As with any warm-air system, continuous high heat may dry skin. Use moisturizer or limit high-heat use to pre-heat and short bursts.
All-night balance: Consider a Biorhythm schedule with gradual heat steps instead of one steady high setting.
Why the Cloud Sheet Improves Heating
The Cloud Sheet turns direct airflow into smooth, evenly distributed warmth.
Reduces hot spots and helps pre-heating work faster.
Always add a blanket or duvet on top for the best insulation and comfort.
Dual Zone Cloud Sheets allow couples to enjoy independent heating preferences.
Quick Fixes if Heat Feels Weak
Check airflow: Clean the filter, straighten the hose, and make sure bedding isn’t blocking the nozzle.
Power settings: For a single BedJet, set power to Normal. For Dual Zone setups, use Low Power on both units.
Very cold rooms: Heating may take longer; extend pre-heat time or layer an extra blanket.
Notes for BedJet 3 Mini
The BedJet 3 Mini is best for Twin XL beds or one side of a Queen/King with a Dual Zone Cloud Sheet. It isn’t designed to heat a full Queen or King by itself.
