Remote IssuesUpdated 2 months ago
If your BedJet 3 Smart Remote is lost, broken, draining batteries quickly, won’t power on, or won’t connect, use the steps below to fix it fast.
Lost, broken, or out of warranty
Within the two-year comprehensive warranty: we’ll replace your BedJet 3 Smart Remote at no cost if needed.
Out of warranty: you can purchase a replacement BedJet 3 Smart Remote.
Battery life & battery drain
Typical battery life is about 9–12 months (AA batteries). Try these if batteries are draining faster than expected:
Replace both AA batteries with fresh, high-quality cells.
Double-check polarity (+/–) and ensure the battery door clamps firmly.
Reduce motion wake sensitivity:
Menu → Remote Setup → Shake & Wake
To turn off: Disabled
To adjust sensitivity: choose level 1–6
Shorten the screen/backlight timeout:
Menu → Remote Setup → Screen Timeout → choose a shorter timeout
Remote won’t power on / screen flashing or blinking
Remove both batteries for a full 60 seconds.
Insert two new AA batteries.
Confirm correct polarity and that the battery contacts are secure.
If the screen still won’t stabilize or the remote won’t turn on, see “Still having issues?” below.
Remote not connecting to the BedJet
Do a quick reset and re-pair:
Remove both batteries from the remote.
Unplug the BedJet from the wall for at least 30 seconds.
Reinsert the remote’s batteries.
Plug in and power on the BedJet base unit.
Wait to see if the remote reconnects automatically. If not, try:
On the remote: select Rescan.
To re-add the device: Menu → Add Device → then press and hold the BedJet’s Low Power button to confirm pairing.
The remote should confirm connection in ~5 seconds.
Advanced radio test (to isolate RF issues)
This checks whether the base unit and/or remote radio is communicating.
Prep:
Unplug any other BedJet units nearby to avoid interference.
Enter the test menu:
Remove the remote’s back cover and take out one battery.
Press and hold the Menu button while reinserting the battery.
Test the BedJet unit’s reception (RF RX):
Use ▲/▼ to find “RF RX”; press the center key.
Watch the “Count” line:
Increasing number = receiving packets (good).
0 and never increases = not receiving.
Exit “RF RX”: press and hold the “?” button.
Test the remote’s transmission (RF TX):
Use ▲/▼ to find “RF TX”; press the center key.
Watch the “Sent” line:
Increasing number = transmitting (good).
0 and never increases = not transmitting.
Exit the test menu:
Remove one battery briefly and reinsert it.
