Using Weighted BlanketsUpdated 2 months ago

Many BedJet owners use weighted blankets without any issue. While our formal testing has focused on multiple layers of down comforters, BedJet owner feedback shows weighted blankets don’t hinder airflow or distribution.

Tips that work

  • Placement: Keep the nozzle opening clear. Let the weighted blanket sit over your bedding, not directly in front of the nozzle where it could block airflow.

  • Get in first: Get into bed before starting the BedJet. Your weight lifts the bedding slightly and helps air move across the bed.

  • Adjust fan speed: Heavier blanket? Bump the fan up a notch to compensate for the added weight.

  • Weight range: 12–15 lb weighted blankets tend to work best for most people. Some owners use heavier blankets successfully—just adjust settings to taste.

  • Layering: Place the weighted blanket over your top sheet/duvet. Avoid very tight tucks at the foot so air can circulate.
